Hi! I’m Jon Hillenbrand, current Chief of Police of the Vincennes Police Department, father of two beautiful young ladies, Ashlyn and Alyssa, and husband to Holly. When I first moved to Vincennes after graduating from Indiana State University in 1997, I took a job with the Southwest Indiana Regional Youth Village with the plan of moving to a big city. As Thomas Rhett says, “you make a plan and hear God laughing” well, 26 years later, I can happily say Vincennes/Knox County is still my home. I’ve served Vincennes as a police officer for 20 years, holding many positions during my career, including road officer, Sergeant, detective, DARE instructor, School Resource Officer, and now Chief of Police. Both of my girls graduated from Lincoln High School and are embarking on their own journeys. In 2009 I convinced my parents, Marty & Dale Hillenbrand, to leave Terre Haute and join us here. They agree, this was the best decision and enjoy all the amenities the community has to offer! I’m a risk taker that believes the best thing about mountains and airplanes is you can jump from them. I’m obsessed with spending time with my family and friends, boating, and riding motorcycles. And…I’m an adventurer who is saying “YES” to this whole new adventure of dancing!!!
